Julie Fulmer-Mason

MedFolio, LLC was established in 2008 and marketed its first medication management device in October, 2010.  MedFolio, LLC is owned and operated by Julie Fulmer-Mason.  Julie received her Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of California – San Francisco in 1998, and has practiced as a Clinical Pharmacist in the Veterans Affairs (VA) Healthcare System and the pharmaceutical industry. From her days of working at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto, California, a multitude of patients were referred to Julie with medication compliance issues.  A specific relationship forged with a patient inspired Julie to design and invent the MedFolio medication management device.

Over the next several years, our current healthcare system will be challenged by the population surge of aging baby-boomers requiring acute and chronic healthcare services.  As a consequence, patients and caregivers need to take an active role in advocating for care that best meets their specific needs.  The introduction of the MedFolio device will not only play an integral role in improving medication compliance by providing advanced medication dosing reminders.  Additionally, this device will offer the patient and their healthcare providers accountability for the chronic disease medications prescribed, and will empower the patient in knowing that they can understand and effectively communicate their medication utilization.  In the end, our philosophy is simple…..giving the patient the ability to take control of their medications in order to improve the quality of care during healthcare visits.
